Honda Canada is offering:

1. $100 if dissatisfied with mileage
2. $100 if dissatisfied with IMA
3. warrenty extension of 1 year/20,000km

My '07 HCH is suffering from constant recalcs, can go from 2 bars to full in 1/2 a block, and normally feels like I am dragging a boat anchor. I have just passed the 130,000km/80,000mi. Not to mention she goes through tires like a dinosaur! average is 35,000km/set (with replaced control arm)

Is this comparable to the US offer?

 

I too received the letter. I had a 2007 HCH which I got rid of after 1.5 years of constant problems and aggravation. I will take the $200.00

This is just Canada right? We just picked up an '09 HCH three days ago without knowing about all of this stuff and sure enough, the IMA/CEL lights came on yesterday. We're dropping it off at Honda this afternoon.

 

Check the link in my prior post. There was a settlement in the states. In your case, battery warranty extension to 9 year/92,000 miles. It applies to '03 to '09 HCH.

 

Ah OK, I'm printing it out now so that I can go through it. If I read it right, basically even though I bought it used a few days ago, since it's an '09 I still get the additional 12 months/12K miles? So that takes me to the 9 year/92K mile market? It's only got 58K miles on it, so that gives me some wiggle room

 

Just got back from dropping the car off, so far so good. I talked to the service guy and when I said IMA light he said "Oh OK, so that means the battery pack needs replacing". When I said the car was well within the 8yr/80K he said "OK, shouldn't be a problem". He also said he thought he had heard about the warranty extension as well.

So fingers crossed
