IMA light; jerkiness; engine error codes

Hello,
Recently my 2006 HCH with 86.5k miles has been exhibiting jerkiness in acceleration, especially at low speeds. In addition, the IMA light has been on and the check engine light as well. When I connected an ODB scanner I got the error codes P1570 and P0a7f indicating a deteriorating battery.
What is the best course of action? I see that there is a battery reconditioning unit, would that help and if so how long could it last me? I'm not opposed to getting my hands dirty, but I'm also not a mechanic by any means. I figure a replacement battery is another option but $2k would be a tough pill to swallow considering the car is only worth $4500... Hoping to get at least another 2 years out of it.
Thanks!

P1570 likely indicates a failed cell and means a battery reconditioning unit wouldn't work for you, but you can measure the subpack voltages and get an idea if it's even an option.
You will need to remove the lower seat cushion, upper seat cushion and IPU lid, steps 1-5:

Check this plug:

You don't unplug it. Just probe the connector where the wires enter.
Record all 11 voltages to XX.XX accuracy and report back.
