Hybrid Computer Replacement
2006 HCHII with 148000 miles
I bought a used battery pack from an auto dismantler in New York, and they ended up sending me the whole works from behind the seat. According to them, it came out of a 2007 HCHII with only 16000 miles on it. Paid $600, not bad. No more recals,
My question is this... Where is the computer that got the fantastic software updates? Is it contained in the housing behind the seat? Or is it integrated with the main PCM/ECU? I'm thinking that maybe the donor car didn't have all the crippling updates applied, and I could swap the donor computer into my 2006 and restore proper performance, even though it may wear out my new-to-me batteries more quickly.

Re: Hybrid Computer Replacement
It will help your new pack last. It does not effect your performance or hurt the FE. I get much better fuel inefficiency after the crippling up-dates. H
