I followed the steps (they are really very simple), and my HCH II unlocks all the doors when I shift into park (unless I've already shut the car off, that is....

runnermainiac: I had this problem too, so I set the doors to unlock when I moved the key to position I. This is also in the manual.

I was thinking about how obnoxious it was that when I shut off the car in N that I can't get the doors to unlock automatically when I shift to Park. I should have known that there was a way to program it, as there usually is with all cars which have keyless entry. So, I was glad to read that you can change it. It probably would help if I actually ever read the manual, but really, that's always the last resort, right???
Did anyone else feel like they're playing some twisted video game programming the settings? Really, turn key, pull parking break, shift out of park, press & hold unlock, shift back to part within seconds.....sheesh! They should just integrate it into the NAVI systems or do touch screens for all models for radio as well. That would be a cool enhancement to add.

I have also had that problem, even with it programmed to unlock when shifted to park. Having it unlock when you turn the key is a good alternative, but I find it works better for me when shifting to park. It all comes to down to what works best for you.

This is not available on 2006 models still? I am always hitting my driver side unlock so my passengers can get out without knowing this is an issue (I have an image I have to maintain- last thing I need to hear them say- nice, all this fancy technology and you can't auto unlock all the doors like every other car).
