Default Anyone successfully using a CF card larger than 2gb?

I have a 2gb CF card and have run out of room...is any one using a larger one successfully??

It's really been great, but I've shrunk my music down as far as I wish to, everything says this is the max size...any other experience out there?

Thanks!!

p.s. I still love my car!!!

I use a 4GB card currently - CF with the sandisk CF-->PCMCIA adapter... haven't tried anything higher yet, but plan on it.

Does it read through ALL of the songs when on random play or only those in the first half of the card...I read in another blog this may be a problem?

Or did Honda really not know their own strength...I'd like to think this!

You know - I haven't tried the shuffle long enough to notice. I promise to try it out and see if it only hits half the card...

8GB cards are 29.99 shipped...

Thanks for the tip, but there have been reports of bad experiences with A-Data cards. Here is one that I recalled reading about:

I use a 2GB card and a Kingston CF adapter. When I bought the stuff 2 years ago, my research at the time had uncovered several sources that claimed it could only handle up to 2GB. Unfortunately, I don't recall the sources - but google is your friend

My only problem is with MP3 audio books. Occasionally when I start the car, the audio book just starts playing from the begining instead of where I left off last time. I happens about 1 out of 10 times. Pretty annoying.

It's coming back to me now - one bit of information I recall is that apparently the Navi user manual says the system will only recognize the first 1000 songs. 4GB cards in 2006 weren't cheap, so I opted for 2GB.

I don't have a system with navi myself to test on, but the FAT16 file system (which most CF cards are pre-formatted with) can't grow beyond 2GB. If the navi is able to read FAT32, the biggest partition becomes 2TB.

I'm using a 4GB compact flash with no problems.
