Hi
Is there any way of telling which 02 sensor I need to replace
, when I run my diagnostics I have an output from 2 02 sensors.
If I do not replace this will I cause any damage to my car
?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Still struggling on with this problem. Is the 02 sensor easy to replace? I have read on the net about cleaning the EGR valve as this can cause false readings, is this likely to help? My engine does go off on its own sometimes when engine hot but comes on again 1st thing in the morning and my car seems very sluggish even with the light out. Any advise would be welcomed.
Thanks
Steve

The P0134 sensor is for the front O2 sensor, the wideband expensive one.
I just replaced mine, only to find in 15 miles a p1433 and p1600 code with CEL and IMA indicator on indicating my IMA battery was deteriorated. I can't understand how changing an O2 sensor would do that, or perhaps it was just really bad timing. I've asked in another thread for help with that.
So, based on my experience, I wouldn't touch the O2 sensor if you didn't have to. Clear your code and hope it goes away.
The only downside: your car won't run as efficiently, and you'll be putting off increased NOx emissions and won't pass an emissions test if CEL is on. Will it hurt your car: no.
