Hybrid Battery Replacement Instructions

Hi, have a 03 civic hybrid and need to replace battery. I have heard this is DANGEROUS and speciap steps and clothing should be used does anyone have a link to instructions on how to replace this battery (this would be best to get before I ask my wife to tackle this)?

You really need to take this to the dealer to install. But if you want to DIY then you should try to search for a service manual, this will provide you with all of the tools you will need to do the job (tools not included just reference).

They also sell the owner's manual and a service manual for model years 2003-2004 only.

It's nice to have a service manual, but I wouldn't suggest trying to change the hybrid battery yourself unless you were a trained mechanic familiar with the precautions necessary for working with a hybrid battery system.
