Default grid charging advice

Hello gen7 HCH owners and enthusiasts!

The fuel mileage on my 03 hch has dropped a bit recently. On top of just needing a tune up, I'm thinking it's time to start trying to rebalance my IMA battery. Living in Philadelphia we do a lot of stop and go city driving!

Does anyone out there have experience doing this? What is the correct way of grid charging?

Does anyone have a used grid charger for sale by chance?

Thanks for any and all advice!

Yes.
Using a grid charger that properly powers the onboard cooling fan.
Not me.

Mileage deterioration without evidence of battery degradation in the form of recalibrations is more often attributable to traditional gas powered car tune-up issues. Filters, plugs, O2 sensors, dirty throttle body, MAF sensors, brake drag, the right LRR tires and proper inflation are the most common.
