Default 2005 HCH Start Clutch

I have been living with the CVT shudder for quite a few years and well over 100,000 miles. I just keep replacing the fluid as much as possible. Is this thing going to just die at some point? Are others just living with this or has everyone else got their fixed? I totally missed the whole extended warranty thing.

I just bought an 2005 with really bad judder. Took it to Honda and they performed the burnishing process which fixed the issue by 90%. It was a big difference. They recommend replacing the start clutch at a cost of $1500.00. This leads me to a question. How long have you had the issue?
