MD HOV Lanes
Does anyone the status of allowing Hybrids in the HOV lanes in MD? In the past there has been some discussion about it, but as far as I know nothing has materialized.
Specifically, it seems the long stretch on Route 50 that goes from the Capital Beltway to Davidsonville, MD that allows motorcycles should also allow Hybrids.

Yeah, I wish they would allow hybrids... here are a couple of good links:

"In some cases, hybrid vehicles are permitted to use HOV lanes or roads.".
Well for the Federal government, that is certainly a nice clear answer.

Re: MD HOV Lanes
I found it true & quite factual when at certain hours on weekdays, all of Highway 66 inside the Beltway requires 2 passengers and 395 North requires 3 people (babies count!).
