Default Suggested Mods for 2009 Hybrid Tahoe

Hi,
I am only getting 18.2 mpg in our new Tahoe. Got into it for 42K + 0%. we are very happy with it, but want to maximize its MPG. Any suggestions?

Search the forum, there is a lot of answers to the exact same question here. Just as a point of reference, your right foot controls the MPGs. My wife and AuPair had it down to 18.9MPG, so Thursday I drove it. I reset the MPG meter, and drove with a light right foot, round trip to work, stopping at both schools to drop off the little ones, lots of bumper-to-bumper and a drive through the mountains. I got 23.4 for the round trip. I probably annoyed a couple of people, but I also did not really slow my progress down at all, as there was always a line of cars at the traffic lights in front of me. I was not "Hypermiling", but I was taking it easy and concentrating on keeping the economy needle straight up.

Default volant air intake and exhaust resonator delete

i recently installed the volant and have had the exhaust resonator out for a year. right out of the box the volant added 4 mpg to my mileage (your results may vary depending on the strength of your right foot and your desire to access 20 extra HP!)

I am still unable to bring mine above 18 MPG in city diving, I drive it very lightly, hardly pressing the gas, trying to stay in Auto stop or V4 as much as possible.
The only explanation I have, is that I live in a hilly city with short distances. not too happy about that milage at all.
I get 22-23 MPG on highway though,

I routinely get 18.5 -19 in the city. Right foot....softness.

How hard is it to put the Volant on?

Raydoc,
What kind of city you live in, hilly, or flat roads, and whats your average trip distance?
