Silverado 12 Volt battery replacement !
Guys,
My 2009 Silverado 12 volt battery just die on me. I have to confess it was my fault, I left the key switch in ON position for more than an hour. After that, I could not start the truck.
I jump start it, and battery looked like recovering. But an overnight shut down prove that the morning start was impossible. Battery voltage drop to 10.2 V
So the Battery could not hold any charge.
Could not find any in size and numbers (cca, ah, RC)
Then at the Bosch store I found one that was some near the numbers, and will fit perfect. The big difference...it was a AGM Battery, and my stock one was Wet Sealed !
That and the RC was in Delco 70aH vs Bosch 50aH
CCA was in Delco 730 vs Bosch 750
Needless to say, the Bosch AGM is also a HYBRID battery (SLI and DC) Start light ignition and Deep Cycle.
I ended buying it. So I have run it for 4 days now. No problem.
If you guys have some intel that I should not use this kind of Batt in my Hybrid truck, please chime in.
I was cut out of options, but if for any reason is not gonna work for my rig, I can import an ACdelco, same specs as the OEM. (will take some time)
Thanks in advance for the advice.
Here some pics.
