Default Picture of Tahoe hybrid without the front air Damp?

anybody has pictures of Tahoe hybrid with the front Air damper removed?
Is it acceptable if one decides to take it off for more clearance? Or the vehicle would look as if it is missing something?

Default can't do it

its a one piece assembly. I guess you could take the bottom strip off but its only about 6" or less. the front fascia starts at the hood and its a one piece seamless assembly you would have to cut it. you could buy a standard front fascia but it probably wouldn't match up with the fenders.

I assume you mean the front air dam, which is the bottom 4" or so strip. That will give you some good clearance, but you do understand the freeway mileage will suffer (maybe only 1mpg?).
I don't have a picture and don't ever plan to remove mine, as I have a 2WD and smooth roads. Also, we don't get snow, we have to visit it...

The front air dam easily unbolts from the front fascia.

I bought an extra one from Chevy ($60) and cut it down for winter (snow) and hunting season (4 wheel off-road). Even though I need the extra clearance I didn't want to leave the front fascia/roll pan nakedly exposed for fear of damage. I felt that a cut down air dam was better clearancewise and still offerd pprotection to the front fascia edge.

I swap them at the end of September and April.

I wouldn't mid seeing a picture of it also.

For the record, I just returned from a few weeks on the OBX. To get to our place, it's approx. 8 miles up the beach which is only accessible by 4x4. I was concerned about the air dam and the clearance. No problems at all. I did scrape sand numerous times but had no issues whatsoever. (and for the record, I'm not babying this vehicle by any stretch of the imagination))
