Default Does your GM hybrid have poor resale value?

I posed the question since obviously the contention is hybrid is a time limited vehicle because of the technology and battery. the yukon and tahoe hybrid has been in the market since 2008. do you guys notice any drop in residual/trade in value? I wanted to upgrade to the cadillac platinum hybrid escalade and after asking the dealership the trade-in value of my hybrid, it wasn't too bad.

when I bought my "new" '09 Escalade back in early July, I did a used car value look - up to see what it was going for. I paid less with incentives and discounts than what this truck was listing for "used" on the open market. So I figure that for the first year or so I should be able to at least break even on its value should I need or decide to get rid of it. That said, my grandest hope has always been that this is a viable, well built, non-lemony platform that is not going to start nickel and dime-ing me to death in 5 or 10 years; because I hope to keep and Keep and KEEP this vehicle for at least the next 15 or 20 years.

Just for giggles the Black Book is calling a 2009 Tahoe Hybrid in excellent condition $44,000 Cad if you can find one. So my guess $48,000 lot price.

Hard to say because it depends on what people expect. New 2010 or 2011's have been 52-55 around the midwest. I found a used 2010 with 11k miles for 43. As for the life of the parts and battery, I guess I'll worry about it down the road.

if GM subsidize the batteries down the road then the resale value of the hybrids are going to go up since they have taken away the worries for future owners. not planning on trading my 09 escalade hybrid since it is the most equipped vehicle of the line up compared to the 2010 or 2011, unless of course USB ports or ipod ports are your thing.

Trade-in $29K to Retail $35K, and I paid $43K. So, $8K to $14K for 50K miles. That is 16 to 28 cents a mile, plus gas (at 20mpg), oil and a set of tires. That is probably one of the lowest cost of ownerships of any new car I've had.
