Default Battery Module Scanner Readings

I am not understanding how a Tech 2 or other scanner can read individual hybrid battery module voltages when the are all in a series and there are not individual wires to each module? Realize I have not disassembled a module pack, only looking with cover removed for inspection and further testing. I am an electrician and am aware of the safety procedures.

Disregard, have seen the monitoring wiring, a bit hidden.

I've been looking over AndrOBD and Torque Lite, and so far haven't had much luck. However, I'm not a mechanic by trade, and it's perfectly possible that I overlooked something.
