My kid uses it like crazy and it never failed.
What load are you putting on it? I think is is limited to 150W or something like that.

If I have one, I can't find it mentioned in the manual and I don't see it in the back seat area. It is not in the bed. Is it under your second row next to the battery somewhere? I saw ya'll talking about it in another post and wondered then, so I looked in the manual.

It is in the third row, over the driver's side wheel well. In the trucks, they usually put it back in the rear of the bed, by the tailgate.

I use the AC power plug when I am driving, the kids power an Xbox 360 from it. Sometimes it will run with no problems, other times it runs for 10 to15mins and shuts off, then you unplug it and plug it back in. Yes I do remebering reading in the manual something about 150, just I should check what the Xbox draws. No problems with the computer. Mel I thought I read somewhere that the trucks had an AC outlet that could handle small power tools as they where trying to sell this idea to the trades people, plummers, electrican etc.

Sorry Mel but the AC plug is only in the SUVs

The outlet will self protect and shut down if over 150 watts. Thats just 1.25 amps. I have found that it will sustain 2 charged laptops and recharge one.

We did light up the Escalade for my daughter's home coming dance with Christmas lights.
