If you have a sensor fault as I had a while ago, you'll have to get the bad sensor replaced. I had two bad ones.

Assuming it's not a hybrid manufactured during the Roman Empire, it must be a "job 2" 2006 (as the job 1 '06 models didn't have TPMS).
Your saying that the <2009MY when you get a low pressure tire fault, it has to be retrained? If so, that's crazy.

You and Bill are both right, but we don't know which year FEH the OP has. The '09 Escape went to a valve system TPMS which changed and doesn't need to be reset if the problem is corrected. The older systems need to be retrained.

The older system has to be retrained? What does that mean? To retrain, you need a TPMS training tool. It doesn't matter if it has a TPMS valve type or the band type, it just changes the location at which you place the training tool, either at the stem or directly opposite it on the wheel. I have the tool for mine. Did you know that the tool was included with some Ford vehicles?
