Default Reprogramming Keypad

I just got my 2008 FEH out of the shop. The key cylinder for the ignition seems to have broken the spring, and I had to manually turn it back from the "Start" position. After a couple of times turning it back too far (turning off the engine), I got a bit worried that my keys hanging from the keychain might turn it off while moving. So I took it in. They replaced the cylinder, cut two new keys, and returned the car. But the keypad on the door would not work. I couldn't find the programming instructions, so I took it back. They found the instructions. The instructions in the owner's manual do not mention the keypad, so I thought I'd put the modified sequence here in case someone needed to do it. Items in red are my additions; the other items are straight from the 2008 FEH manual.

Preparation: Have the factory code for the keypad ready to go. Gather up all keys (they will all have to be programmed at the same time).

To reprogram the remote entry transmitters:
1. Ensure the vehicle is electronically unlocked.
2. Put the key in the ignition.
3. Turn the key from the 1 (LOCK) position to 3 (RUN).
4. Cycle eight times rapidly (within 10 seconds) between the 1 (LOCK) position and 3 (RUN). Note: The eighth turn must end in the 3 (RUN) position.
5. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has been activated.
6. Within 20 seconds press any button on the remote entry transmitter. Note: If more than 20 seconds have passed you will need to start the procedure over again.
7. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that this remote entry transmitter has been programmed.
8. Repeat Step 6 to program each additional remote entry transmitter.

After programming all remote entry transmitters, program the keypad by entering the factory combination code into the keypad. The doors should lock, then unlock, confirming that the keypad was programmed.

9. Turn the ignition to the 1 (LOCK) position after you have finished programming all of the remote entry transmitters.
10. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming mode has been exited.
