Do you think that they will update our PCM to allow 44mph in our 2009's?
I heard that they made a change to the 2008's fuel economy, but not to allow them to go up to 40mph like us.
I wonder why not???

Well I think (note i have no real idea
) some parts changed from the 08 to the 09's. The one part I'm thinking of is the DC/DC converter. So that would stop a "easy update" for the 08's to get to 40mph in EV
. But i don't really know (yet) if any hybrid parts changed from 09 to 10. If there are not any part changes...
then maybe yea we could see a pcm update to get us to 44 mph in EV.
One can hope!
Yep, forgot about the DC converter changes.
My fingers are crossed for an update. Going 40 in EV is ok on a 35mph road, but not so good on a 40 mph road. I think 44mph would be good enough to keep people off of my bumper.
