Default Ford factory tour?

Hi,

Does anyone know much about the Ford factory tours? I see they have the Rouge plant open for tours but Wiki reports the Kansas City plant is closed to tours. My understanding is the Kansas City plant makes the Escape hybrid.

Thanks,
Bob Wilson

The Rouge Plant tours are arranged through Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. I have no idea if they tour any other plant but I don't think they do.

The only Ford Factory tour available is the F150 plant in Dearborn, as described by TeeSter. This plant is much cleaner and greener than most auto plants.

The Kansas City ( or more specifically, Claycomo Mo. ) Plant makes all the Hybrids. And it is most definately closed to the public. One owner tried to visit there, and came close to having the police called on him just for "looking" through the fence.

I went on this tour last summer. It was pretty interesting. The only vehicles we were able to see being produced were the F150 trucks.
