Congrats Big Sweeps. Glad you are happy and with Honda:D

Ford was smart to give you a new vehicle option because they know they would have lost the lemon law case and would have probably had to give you a lot more than what you paid (for time lost and such).

I have a co-worker who has an '05 Escape Hybrid; he was in an accident (not his fault). Last I heard he was 3 months without the Escape due to lack of skilled technicians and body workers to fix the Hybrid.

Thanks mickster! I see you have a HCH also. Between the Element and our HCH we couldn't be happier.

It's amazing how poorly Ford has executed their hybrid program (compared to Toyota and Honda). I haven't heard of anyone who owns a HCH or Prius complaining that there aren't skilled tech's to work on their cars. But it was almost impossible to get my FEH serviced or fixed (and as you probably noticed....nobody had a clue how to fix anything)
Is your co-worker considering getting out of his FEH or will he keep it?

Re: Fed up with Ford

Speaking of qualified Hybrid mechanics.... My Ford Dealer had one certified hybrid technician when I got my FEH in February of this year. When I had them apply the protection package a couple weeks later my new service manager informed me that they had just had a second technician become qualified to work on FEHs so they now have two. I'm with Ford of Bellevue in Washington State - I haven't checked with other local dealers but I know the FEH is pretty popular here.
