Default Engine soundproofing

Hello. I have a 2009 FEH. To me, the engine sound at 2000 RPM is annoying--of course, this normally corresponds to 60-65MPH. I have used Dynamat on the doors and floorboards, mainly for the stereo system, and Quiet Car coating on the firewall--still annoying. Has anybody found the source? Is it the exhaust system or the underinsulated hood?

I drove a 1999 Ford Contour with the V6 (double overhead cam, 24V) engine for 10 yrs.--what a powerplant--ton of power, excellent on the highway. Very quiet. Yeah, when you got on it, you heard the melodious tune--not the buzzy crap from this FEH. While I don't expect the FEH to be the same, I have to silence this buzz.....CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? Thanks.

Hopefully you're still under warranty so the fix won't cost you $200.
