110 volt plug, when did it start?

Default 110 volt plug, when did it start?
I have been thinking about the Escape. The 2009 has a 110 volt plug. Did older models have that as well? If so, when did it start? Thanks.

It has been an option since the '05 - '08 models and standard on the '09.
