Default Ethanol % and Scanguage II Long Term Fuel Trim xguage value

This is what my photos/data indicates for using mid-grade ethanol blends:

The stars represent the range of what the scanguage II LFT values are during accleration and deccleration/glide. It does not indicate how much time was spent above or below the zero value.

An example of using E30: 9%uphill for 5/8 mile results in a 14.0 LFT value

Here is a photo with E0 and the LFT at minus 14.9

UPDATE: This data was collected from late April thru the end of September. It is now late November. The temperature has cooled in many parts of the country. This cooler and denser air will result in more fuel being consumed and thus it is likely a slightly higher LFT values than shown in the graph(s).

Thumbs up Re: Ethanol % and Scanguage II Long Term Fuel Trim xguage value

It is interesting that the Saab has a zero fuel trim on E10.

My Honda Insight behaves the same way.
Near zero on E10 and negative trim on pure gas.

My FEH has zero fuel trim on pure gas, and positive trim on E10.

Like you told me earlier Bill, looks like some cars were made for E10 as the standard.

Interesting.... Very, Very Interesting....

Still, no matter the zero point, LTFT is a GOOD way for measuring ethanol in the fuel.
