Currently, Volkswagen will only offer ID. Buzz in the United States, while the cargo model will be sold exclusively in Europe starting from Q3 2022. In an official press release, Volkswagen revealed the specifications of VW ID. Buzz short wheelbase variant. For the US market, VW will offer ID. Buzz in a long-wheelbase variant, which will be available in either 7- or 8-seat configuration.

Head of Volkswagen Design, Jozef Kabaň, shared his thoughts on the styling of the ID.Buzz twins. “The T1 – an icon of the 1950s – represents freedom and the democratization of mobility. With the ID. Buzz, we are transferring the T1 DNA to the present day and thus into the era of electric mobility and sustainability”, says, Kabaň. He further adds, “We very consciously ensured that we were not making another T1. The ID. Buzz shows that it is successfully transferring the genes and stylistic elements of that iconic vehicle into the digital era.”
