Manhart TM3 720 is a 550 HP Tesla Model 3
For around $89,000, Manhart will paint a honeycomb-style faux-grille on a Model 3 and bump the power up to 550 HP.
One of Manhart Performance’s recent creations might also be its most surprising. The German tuner recently unveiled a souped-up version of the Tesla Model 3 Performance. The car is called TM3 720, and like many other Manhart models, this Model 3 reproduction sports striking styling.
A painted-on honeycomb pattern grille dominates the front-end of Manhart TM3 720. The tuner’s Decal Set offsets the car’s bodywork, which flaunts a rich black paint job. We find contrasting red and grey accents throughout TM3 720’s exteriors, and the rear windows now get a dark tint.
The EV’s moniker is a reference to its new power output. Manhart’s all-new MHTronik Powerbox bumps the power output up to 550 HP and 531 lb-ft (720 newton-meter) of peak torque. This is a significant improvement considering that a factory-spec Tesla Model 3 Performance produces 513 HP and 488 lb-ft. The car retains its original 82-kWh battery pack and dual-motor layout.
Manhart MHTronik Powerbox was originally designed for BMW models.
The new control unit sits between Model 3’s ECU and vehicle sensors. So far, we do not know how Manhart TM3 720’s new power out will affect its acceleration and driving range. In its factory-tune, Tesla Model 3 only takes 3.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH. It will not surprise us if TM3 720 hits the 60 MPH mark in under 3 seconds.
TM3 720 gets Model 3’s Performance Brakes setup, but Manhart also offers tuning options for the same. The company also gets rid of Tesla Model 3’s 20-inch Überturbine wheels. As a result of this, Manhart TM3 720 now rides on 21-inch Barracuda rims that flex a platinum grey finish. Customers can also request other color options.
Manhart TM3 720 retains Model 3’s minimalist factory interior, but customers can request custom options. The car also gets H&R lowering springs and Manhart suspension tuning. The TM3 720 can be yours for the price of $88,768 or €74,900 (based on current exchange rates).
