Driving Disaster: Tesla Model X Smashes Falcon Door Into A Bus

We’ve all had our fair share of absent-minded moments, which usually result in embarrassing situations. And with the rise of camera phones and the internet, now the world can often witness them. Here at Electric Vehicle forums, we’d like to say we’re above exploiting other people’s humiliation, but frankly, we can’t. Not when it involves a Tesla Model X, an open Flacon wing and a London bus (and no apparently human injury, we do have some shame). YouTube channel Rahul R shares this video of a black Model X’s worst bad day, as it pulls out of a London parking spot, one of its Flacon Wing doors still open.
It’s a moment full of anticipation. As a viewer, you know a crash is inevitable. But you can’t look away, even as you scream (internally or externally) — “Close the door. CLOSE THE DOOR.” Reader, the driver DOES NOT close the door.
We can’t even begin to imagine what was going through the bus driver’s mind (just kidding, we’re sure it was an expletive filled rant of WTF WTF WTF, or the UK-equivalent) as he watched the hulking Model X come hurtling towards him.
However, from that mutual horror comes our pained, wincing awe. It’s not every day you see a Tesla and a city bus face off, and only the car walks away hurt.
