2022 Mustang Mach-E Gets Updates and Prices To Start at $43,895
Ford is now accepting orders for the 2022 Mustang Mach-E in the US. The company has released details regarding the pricing. The new EV gets a wide range of updates.
It was revealed that Ford was adding several updates to the 2022 Mustang Mach-E after an ordering guide was leaked online in September. The updates include new paint options, wheels, and more battery capacity. The Blue Oval brand is now accepting orders for the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Recently, the company officially revealed information regarding the new updates that the electric SUV will receive.
The minor tweaks that Ford made to the battery packs of Mach-E have resulted in a major improvement, which has substantially enhanced the real-world range of the models in the lineup. Instead of 68 kWh, the standard range model battery pack now gets 70 kWh usable capacity for the 2022 model year. The usable battery capacity of extended range models has jumped from 88 kWh to 91 kWh.
Ford revealed that these improvements would give customers 314 miles of range. The first batch of cars to benefit from these improvements won’t hit the market before the end of Q1 2022. The performance of the electric SUV has also improved as a result of these improvements to the battery capacities.
The automaker has improved the charging curve of the 2022 Mach-E beyond 80% of charge to preserve the battery longevity.
Furthermore, Ford has also tweaked the exteriors of the 2022 Mustang Mach-E. The premium-grade models now get the Ice White Appearance Package. The package adds Star White mirror caps, Oxford White pony badges, Star White Metallic Tri-Coat paint, OxFord White front door badging, and 19-inch aluminum wheels with oxford White-painted pockets.
The cabin now flaunts gloss white leather on the center armrest, seats, dashboard, and door panels. The Mustang logo on the steering wheel also sports a white color scheme. A standard black roof will be offered on all 2022 GT and GT performance Edition models. Moreover, Grabber Blue Metallic and Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat color options will be available on all Mach-E models.
These paint schemes were earlier only available on top-end Mach-E models. Lastly, the company has also updated the prices of the 2022 Mach-E. Prices of the 2022 Mustang Mach-E start at $43,895 (excluding the destination charges).
