Re: Jason's Official To-Do List

Jason,
I love the site. One thing I don't quite understand, why do people's responses go from the latest at the top to the oldest at the bottom? It seems backwards. You'd think you'd have #1 at the top, followed by others responses below it. Like my response. It is sitting on top of your original message below it. When viewing a new thread you have to scroll to the bottom and work your way up. Seems counterintuitive to other boards...but maybe that's the idea since Hybrid technology is a little "counter" culture?

Does that observation make sense? I'm sure most people on the board are use to this system by now. Keep up the good work.

Michael,

Not sure what you mean. The default settings are that the actual topics, or "threads," are organized with most recent at the top where they're easy to see. Inside the topics, the oldest post is first, followed by the progressively recent. To change these settings, go here: https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...do=editoptions

That was the first thing I changed in the preferences as soon as I signed up. I too like to see the original post at the top, going progressively forward in time as I scroll down.

Perhaps I'm missing something. Are posts not organized from oldest to newest by default?

I never changed mine since I signed up last year and it has always been oldest to newest.

Ahhh, I found the option to change your preference...my bad...default is perhaps newest to oldest. I've set oldest to newest and I'm happy now....
