NHW10 OBD standard

Hi there,
I have just recently bought an OBD2/CAN tester for my 1998 NHW10 Prius. The scanner goes through its auto detect routine as it can utilise many different standards. The thing is, that it can't seem to link to my car.
I was under the impression that the prius cars used a CAN bus standard ISO15765-4 or J2480 so this is why I bought the unit.
Is there anyone out there that may know what standard my car uses, and what type of reader I will need?

Cheers

I would recommend joining the YahooGroup, Mk_1, that has one of the best collection of NHW10 owners. They really are the experts.

I've posted a guide on a cheap way of scanning the NHW10 here:

Link removed by a moderator. Until you have a translated, legal copy of software, please do not post a link to it. The link that was removed was to a Russian site and the software was mostly in Russian and I could not determine if it was legit.

Re: NHW10 OBD standard

It's a free software built by a car enthusiast. Nothing illegal. I just wanted to help out... whatever.
