2008 Toyota Prius Touring Corrections Needed

I purchased a 2008 Prius Touring Pkg. 6. With GBS, and Rear Bumper Applique. Dec. 1st.
Issue No.1.Ordered D.R.L. and Auto Headlights BUT DID NOT GET EITHER?
TOYOTA CUSTOMER CARE SAYS; NEITHER FEATURE IS AVAILABLE IN THE US?
Issue No 2. Auto Door Locks OWNERS MANUAL SAYS THEY ARE AUTOMATIC AND
ARE CUSTOMIZABLE. TOYOTA SAYS; ALTHOUGH LISTED IN OWNERS MANUAL, AUTOLOCK FEATURE IS NOT OPERABLE OR CUSTOMIZEABLE?
THIS IS A HORRIFIC SAFETY ISSUE AND A "CARJACKERS DREAM COME TRUE"
If You Forget To Use The Armrest Lock Button, ANYONE CAN OPEN ANY DOOR!
Issue No 3. Navigation System DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY STREET
OR MY HOUSE ADDRESS. TOYOTA SAYS; WE HAVE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER,
AS SOON AS A SYSTEM UPDATE IS AVAILABLE YOU WILL BE CONTACTED.
WHAT? THIS IS A 2008. THE SUBDIVISION STREETS HAVE BEEN HERE 15 YEARS.
THIS TOYOTA NAV. SYSTEM IS UNABLE TO RECOGNIZE MY HOUSE NO. OR STREET? SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG HERE?
Is There Anyone Else Experiencing Any Of These Type Of Problems?
I must Admit To Being A Bit "Disallusioned" With These "Shortcomings" From Toyota!
The Prius Otherwise Is Just Great. MPG is Phoenominal Compared to my Old SUV.

In spite of the problems with your order:

Welcome to the CLUB!

I bought a used 2003 Prius so I really didn't have a whole lot of options in this area:

All I can say about the navigation is I've felt it was pretty pricey for a system that doesn't let you march down to BestBuy or where ever it was bought and get a replacement. I've always felt the best answer is an open interface for the touch-screen and video display so you can put in what ever you want (including backup video and/or Macintosh.)

In the meanwhile, the FAQ may have some clues to help you get up to speed quickly!

GOOD LUCK!

Hi!

Just a safety reminder. Sorry I can't help you with the rest of the questions.

My salesman told me NOT to put my exact home location in the NAV system. Put in an address close to your home OR label it something else other than home. If your car is stolen they will know where you live and possibly be able to get in your house with the garage remote.

I don't remember what pkg I have, I think it's pkg 5.

Have fun!

sorry to hear of all those issues ... and on such a MARVELOUS car ... and from such a MARVELOUS car-manufacturer based on the VAST majority of information I've gleaned here-and-there!

i can't speak from personal experience, of course, but i have heard of similar issues from many others with the Nav System in the Prius ... not only at this site, but from other Prius and/or Hybrids-in-General sites.

that's actually the main reason my wife and I opted to place our order for "only" a Pkg #3 rather than a Pkg #5 a couple of days ago. anywhooo ... we already have a Nav System ...

... a Rand/McNalley (spelling?) Road Atlas ....
