2005 prius WON'T START
We tried to start it, and it wouldn't start. We hooked a scan guage up on it and it was just reading 7volts. Does anyone know what size battery it takes or where is the best and cheapest place to get one? In an emergency is there any way that the hybrid battery would charge the auxilary battery without having to boost it off?

1) Put a charger on the battery and get it to read over 12VDC. 2) Start car 3) 12VDC battery options: (1) Toyota (expensive) or (2) Miata battery with terminal adapters (may have to wait for it.) The real problem is to understand why the 12VDC battery failed or was discharged. Do you feel comfortable with battery replacement and working on your car? Bob Wilson |

Tried to find another battery for the car at auto zone, the posts were to big didn't have a vent on the battery. Does the miata batteries have vents on them?
