Trip computer differences?

Is there a differnece between the trip computer/mgp calculation capabilities between the Highlanders without navigation vs. the ones with the navigation screen?

The "base" (non-limited) version does not have trip MPG availble, only an instantaneous guage. Mainly for this reason, I purchased a ScanGuage to give me that information. I can't comment on the Limited edition without NAV.
