A small tangental overide discovery (at least for me)
I was in override mode and wanted to make a call using the dial by number feature.
I had the number in hand. I hit the off hook button and for some reason it occured to me to try saying the number WITHOUT saying "Dial by Number". It worked. I simply hit the off hook button and started saying the numbers. Later I tried the same thing without the overide and it did not work.....although the TCH did seem to realize that I was saying numbers and it went to Dial By Number mode and asked me for the number AFTER I had already said it.............which is also pretty cool. Whoops ... I forgot to add, that I am guessing Dial by Name will do the same thing when OVERRIDE is in affect.
I will be trying that out tomorrow. Byron |

Byron, sounds like a great tip, but what's override mode?

No wonder it didn't sound familiar. I have the non-NAV version. Never mind...:embarass:

Re: A small tangental overide discovery (at least for me)
When we were first discovering this stuff back in May & June, somebody had posted a message that you do not have to say "Dial by Number", but my experience is that I have always had to say it. I am usually in override mode, but can't say for certain that my failures occurred during override.
So looking forward to your results. |
