3 short term trip milages

1. Test drove A new TCH(which I bought) and basically tested its accleration,full throttle starts and a full throttle on ramp merge.when i got backto the dealer ship , my trip tank mpg reading was 16.6... 2. a 20 mile trip home right after filling up an already warm car netted me 47.2 mpg 3.A- 5 stop errand run one morning lowered my 39 ave too 34, (I estamate i got about 30 that morning. I guess my point is that if you canaverage36-39 per tank your doing good. ( Anyone got worse than 16.6 on a short trip)..JOE

Joe540CI, watch those full throttle starts for the first 1000 miles and hard braking for the first 200 miles. See your owners manual, section 2, under "break in period". Just FYI.
