Nissan to halt nearly all gasoline engine development in EV shift
Nissan to halt nearly all gasoline engine development in EV shift. The U.S. pickup truck market is the only exception.
Nissan's main rival, Toyota, has not made such a commitment, preferring to look at alternatives such as hydrogen fuel cell or hydrogen-combustion engines. On the contrary, we have many companies that seriously convert to electric cars such as Volvo, Lexus, Daimler, Opel and even VinFast. I especially interested in VinFast. Their EVs looks promising. https://www.carscoops.com/2022/01/vi...r-vf8-and-vf9/ |

Re: Nissan to halt nearly all gasoline engine development in EV shift
Completely switching from petrol to electric cars is also a challenging task for the car company. Currently, car manufacturers have switched to electric cars, but only half-gasoline and half-electric-like hybrids.

Re: Nissan to halt nearly all gasoline engine development in EV shift
It's always exciting to hear about new brands planning to enter the EV marketplace, especially VinFast with such aggressive plans. Let's hope things go smoothly for them. We need more brands, more variety, more affordable options asap

I think their decision is entirely unexpected and will probably cause many customers to buy their ICE vehicles. Visually, they are on the right track, but the way they did it make customers unhappy, tbh

Switching to electric cars is only a matter of time, but VinFast doing it so quickly is also a good opportunity.
