I wonder if Nissan is trying to pull a GM (with its EV1). Sell it in a few states and claim there's no demand for hybrids because a few thousand in 6 months is nothing.

We are approaching 6000 miles on our Altima Hybrid.
It has been the most fun to drive car we have owned.
No problems to report and we have been consistently averaging 36 MPG in normal driving.
Great car!

an interesting tidbit: In the US, you can load up the Altima Hybrid any way you want with several option packages. In Canada, we only get one model of the Altima Hybrid and it's the "base". We get heated seats but no leather, moonroof, nav or bluetooth option. There is no folding seat either.
