2008 Ford Escape review

"The new 2008 Ford Escape is entering the marketplace with a bold new design, a quieter ride and a host of new features and options– with sticker prices that average $1,100 less than 2007 Escape models. The 2008 Escape also benefits from substantially improved residual values..."

A small review on the 2008 Ford Escape, with information on the features, options and price, and some of other details. Also available is a photo gallery with the SUV.

Sounds like the hybrid base pricing on the '08 ($25,740) would include the delivery charge ($665) and the now standard Safety Package ($595). If I did the math right, that's a reduction of $1175 from the '07 MSRP.

It is about time for Ford to announce profitability on the Escape hybrids. There is a period of time when a new technology is expensive but once the learning curve and manufacturing efficiencies are achieved, it becomes a source of revenue.
