New Prius Owner in TN

Hi, I am a 23 YO mom of a 3 and 4 year old in eastern TN. About a month ago I got a 2005 Prius. I love it! We alse have a 2000 Accord and a 2000 Camry, those are great cars too, but we're gonna get rid of one of them b/c we simply do not need 3 cars!

Saturday, I drove from Huntsville AL to Knoxville TN, I-40 to Rockwell NC and then back via Atlanta GA and Gadsden AL to Huntsville. It was a total just under 1,000 miles in 20 hours but I snagged some Prius parts from a salvage.

We've got a FAQ in the Prius forum with lessons learned. Hopefully, it will give you some ideas.

BTW, this fall, we'll probably arrange a tour at the Toyota plant in Georgetown KY over the Columbus holiday, Oct. 8. Toyota makes the Solara, Camry and Camry hybrids over there. It is close enough to be a 'day trip' for folks in the Knoxville area.

We also recommend recording your mileage in the database because it will help in understanding what works and doesn't work with our Prius. There are a lot of clever folks here willing to offer their lessons learned about our cars.

GOOD LUCK!
Bob Wilson
