Magnetic Gray TCH with Nav
Hi all,
Just spent my first full week in this new car and I am impressed and pleased as h***!!
I used to like performance in my cars, but my last one (BMW X-5) was draining my wallet (too many expensive repairs and 18 mpg). I guess I also got the guilts about using so much gas, with our siblings and children fighting in Iraq to keep cheap oil flowing. I could not continue to justify hauling my sagging a** around in a 5,000 lb vehicle with a V-8 engine that cost $1,000 plus each time I went for service.
Anyway, after looking at a couple of non-hybrids in the same price range, I went for the TCH and I am glad I did.
Yeah, I know...this is not a 0-60 car, and the interior leaves a lot to be desired if you're looking for luxury finish. But it does what it was designed to do VERY WELL. I am transfixed by the displays that tell you in seven different ways what the car is doing and how well you are driving mpg-wise. It is quiet, smooth, roomy and comfortable. Both my wife and mother-in-law approve (big points there...).
Still on the first tank-full, with a projected total range of 515 miles. Better than I could do with the X-5 with a 23-gallon tank vs. 13 gallons (?) for the TCH. Like the nav system, like the ride, love the mpg.
Hey, what's not to like!
