Woo-hoo! I just placed my deposit on a 2010 Insight hybrid for the wife and we're first on the list. Delivery is expected by the second week of April. I'm not usually the "first on the block" type but her lease ends in May so I had to jump on it. My dealer agreed to MSRP so shop around, there are still some honest dealers out there who care for the customer.

Congratulations! I'm surprised you could already make a deposit on it. That's exciting.

BTW, This new/old name thing is going to be confusing.

Congratulations, you are going to have make a review when you get your hands on it.

Do you mind if I asked what you paid? Or is it just "MSRP" and that will be determined when you get it?

Just "MSRP" on the paperwork. Given what the price is said to be, it shouldn't be that bad.

In Burnsville MN, I started the list yesterday, with moi at #1. Just a piece of paper, but I hope they honor it. Right now i think they are desperate to move any cars off their lot. Five months ago they ran out of civics (except SI's) now they even have hybrids on the lot unsold.

Maybe you can answer a question, is the new Insite larger than the 09 Prius inside and out. I live in Sedona the auto show is more than 120 miles away, when it gets to Phoenix.

Dealer just called me for my Insight. I am #1 on the list. Test car will arrive in April, my blue Insight EX w/o Navi will arrive in May. Put down $500 over the phone.

My dealer's demo is even delayed. It was supposed to arrive by today so I could at least get a test drive :angry:. My EX w/navi will hopefully arrive by next week, though all I know is that it's "in transit." Oh well...

Dealer just called. Insights are on the lot in Minnesota. I am going to test drive the first one in about 2 hours.

Two pleasant surprises from the test drive:

The new insight is much quieter than my 1998 Civic (in which I have already put in soundproofing).

There is more room in the back seats than I expected, it appears more than my 2006 Jetta.

All else, as expected, a very cool, quality car.
