2000 insight

Hi, we own a 2006 Civic Hybrid and are so happy I want a 2nd hybrid. I found a 2000 Insight with 71000 on it. Has 5 spd and no AC. It's from a Toyota dealer who took it on trade so I guess they know hybrids at least. I'm wondering whats a fair price and about the battery and reliability at this point. I am so hooked on hybrids after the first and we need another car. Thanks in advance

Do you know the lifetime mpg? I'd prefer 55mpg - 50 might be OK, wonder about the condition of the batteries and car if it's less than 50mpg. It probably would go for less than 10K. Battery coverage would be a big issue

Be careful with that warranty. Odds are there is a mileage cap as well.

Yeah 8yrs/80,000 miles. I spoke with honda care. Is the warrenty transferrable for the IMA? I also read about the battery 150000 extension. Anyone know about that?
Thanks everyone for your help!!!

In all 50 states, "... the warranty for the IMA battery has been extended to 10 years of 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first. "

Yes, the warranty stays with the car no matter who owns it.
