Mainstream USA doesn't want two-door cars anymore. Look at any late model pickup truck; it will prove the point. How many are true two door pickups? Not as many as the extended cab (with the half door back) or the club cab (with four doors). I wish I had those half-doors on my F150, you don't know how many times I have smashed my elbow...::blush:: sorry.

If mainstream USA won't buy it, they won't make it, unless they can use it as a license (see this or another thread) to sell a high margin vehicle.

Mainstream USA isn't flocking out to buy the HAH anyhow. I think it makes some sense, since it is a 'power' hybrid, why not put it in a lighter body and replace the 5-speed automatic with a 6-speed manual? It would be their flagship performance machine, leaving room for them to make a v6 feeling 1.8-liter hybrid powertrain option for the 4-door Accord.
