Need help 07 Ima and battery light
 
Hey everyone I recently purchase a 07 hybrid civic from someone, apprently the pre owner had it park up for about 2 months he told me it just need to charge up, have the car 3 weeks now and it's not charging so I bought a grid charger I charger it for 18 hours which was recommend and still no improvement so my 12 v keep going dead cause it's not charging what can I do to fix this?

Btw the Ima batt pack is reading 168v from where the grind connection need to be connected but 0v where the leads are connecting

Any help will be greatly appreciated

What is your location (you can put this in your profile)?
What codes do you have? The battery may be bad, but there are other things that can go wrong.
How old is the 12V?
Is the pack master on?

Which grid charger did you buy? What is its open circuit voltage (powered on, but no load attached)?

What was the voltage when you started the charge? Was it 168V after the 18 hour charge?

Your post is unclear. The main (+) battery terminal is isolated with a 12V relay. Main terminals will always show 0V unless the ignition is engaged AND there are no IMA errors that will isolate the Hybrid battery. The grid charger should be attached to the hot side of the relay. This should result in full pack voltage when master switch is on and 0V when off.

My location is Trinidad and tobago
My 12v is about 4 months old
Maxx volt grid charger
Open circuit not to sure what u mean by that?
The voltage before I use the grid charger was 140v
If the ignition is on 0v on the battery even if the master switch is on
The only place I'm getting the 168 voltage is before the relay not after, when the ignition is turn on I hear the relay trip on and in a brief second it trips back of,
From 1500 to 3500 rpm the 12v is charging but at idle it's not charging
Also at that Same rpm although the battery is charging the battery check light stays on

What error codes do you have?. Without this information, we are just guessing. You need to get codes read before you do anything else.

Ok I have a volt meter on my 12 v so when the rpm raises so is the voltage
I got it scan and getting p1570 code
Grid charger without load is 230v

P1570 means that the subpack voltages are out of whack or their sensor leads are broken. If it's not a sensor lead issue, I suspect you have one or more failed subpacks, and you either need to rebuild or replace your battery.

Turn master switch OFF! Probe orange 14 pin connector that goes from the battery to the BCM. You do not need to unplug it. Just probe the wires as they go into the the connector:

Record all voltages and report back.

It's all right there. The picture I linked is "BCM Module Connector B". The pins are numbered.

B6 to B14 is pin 6 to 14 in the picture.

Per my post, the plug is the orange connector that plugs in from the battery to the BCM. You will have to remove your rear seats and the IMA cavity cover (do not bend or damage) to access the plug. I assumed you already had access because you were indicating terminal voltages.

B6 and b14- 16.5v.
B6 and b14- 16.5v
B14 and b5- 16.5v
B5 and b13- 16.5v
B13 and b4- 16.5v
B4 and b12- 16.5v
B2 and b11- 16.5v
B7 and b1- 3.5v
