Lemon?

I got my car on december 30 2007 9000 miles later rear control arms and two new tires told me this would fix the issue now its june and same problem there ordering 4 new tires and replacing rear arms.

im getting mad the shaking at hyway speeds is making me nervous i think this is a Serious safety issue and the dealer told me of the thousands of cars hes seen for this problem im the only one thats come back. So do you think this is a lemon? I live in ohio.

They have to try to fix it at least 3 times for it to count as a lemon under the law.

Re: Lemon?

In most states it's 3 times same issue.. or 30 days total in shop.. doesn't have to be 30 days in a row either.. all you have to do is call a "Lemon Law" lawyer and they will give you a FREE (as in beer) consultation over the phone no signing any papers and they will let you know if they/you have a case.

So keep taking it back if issue is still there. And keep all paperwork.

I did it with my 6 Series BMW.

This is a known Civic problem and there is a TSB out there for it. Do a forum search for "negative camber"

perhaps this link will work....

Some things never change....

Back in 1989 I bought a brand new Acura Integra (aka Civic). It had a number of factory defects that the dealer fixed but they were never able to resolve the annoying vibrations from the wheels at highway speeds. I kept taking it back to the dealer and the problem would get better and then return. By this point the regional service adviser and I were on a first name basis. He even acknowledged that the car had a problem the were unable to totally resolve.

A great car purchase opportunity came along and I decided to sell the Integra after owning it for a little more than a year. I always regretted not persuing the lemon law for this car.

Good luck.
