How much did your 30K maintenance cost?

From people who have done their 30K maintenance (HCH I) how much were you charged? Did you ask for "the 30K maintenance" or did you list everything separately? Wondering if this is really going to cost $400 or not....

I think mine was about $500. I asked for the 30K maintenance.

Realy 90% of it is "check" this thing or that, lubricate this part or that. So in reality you never realy know if they are doing everything they are supposed to.

I did it because I figured the car might last a little longer. I tend to drive cars into the ground.

Mine was $365 - this is on the 30/60/90 marks. The 15K in between is a $105 check. There are a lot of inspections and "adjustments", but they do change the trans fluid, antifreeze, plugs, air filters, flush brake system.

The 30K checkup is a rip off. They wanted $350 for it.

The two main items (other than oil) that they provide is cabin and air filters). I asked about how much these items were, alone: $50 for an air filter/install, $105 for cabin filter/install. The air filter costs under $10, the cabin filters cost under $25. They said the rest was labor. Geesh.

I had already changed my air filter. In less than 5 minutes.
I had already changed my cabin filter. In less than 5 mintes.

I just had the oil changed, and from that point on, will not step into the dealer's facility for maintenance again.

I have a MT, so I don't have to worry about that fluid change.

Re: How much did your 30K maintenance cost?

I will add that part of the reason I take it in is because of the warranty - I bought an extended warranty and I like the Honda mechanics looking at it each year (I drive about 15K per year). They would be best suited to see things, and since I bought the warranty from the dealer, they seem more inclined to be helpful. It costs $35 to change the oil anyways, so I'm only out an extra $70 or so to do a 15/45/55 check, and out the big money every other year. I guess I don't trust other mechanics to work on my hybrid.

Oh really? My Toyota Tundra went in for the 30K service, and the bill was $778. $350 seems pretty **** reasonable to me.

If I remember right, my 30K was about $280 and my 60K was about $300. Four thousand more miles and I'll be ready for my 90K. They really don't do a lot, but I got that warranty thing going.
