Hello All,
My Honda civic is 2004 - Hybrid with 100,000 miles , Now i am getting indication in Dashboard with IMA light on and when i took to dealer he said IMA battery is gone , We need to replace it .., other than that my car is good and i am happy with Honda 2004 My questions is 1) Is it worth replacing IMA battery for 3000$ with 3 years warranty 2) can i sale my car with current condition ? 3) Any other suggestions or options? Re: Honda Hybrid : 2004 - IMA Battery is going to Die
its worth trying to cycle the battery. Drain it all the way down to 90 volts, then charge it up slowly (until voltage stops increasing) and hold it for a few hours. You will need electrical skills or someone that can do it for you. You drain it with ordinary incandescent light bulbs and charge it with a grid charger or other power supply that can go up to 180 volts.
You may have to do this twice. More than likely you will get rid of the IMA light |
