Does anyone know what the highest number the FCD will display? I filled up this afternoon. It was my first 600 mile tank (600.3 I was chicken) and when I left the gas station, at the top of a rather long drawn out hill, I got up to 116 on the FCD. I missed getting a picture of the 116, but I did get a 105 at a little over a mile.

The highest number is 120MPG, and the instant meter is metered in 4MPG increments.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if the avg reading went higher than 120 or not. I guess that is what I will shoot for next time.

I may be wrong on the average display. I wonder if it will go to 199?

Hi All:

___The easiest way to find out if you don’t know already is to start out by coasting with the ICE off and the car booted up. After .1 miles, the max should be displayed. One direction I can take to leave my home is down my sloped drive and through a part of the subdivision (~ 1/2 of this is also slightly down sloped) to a stop sign .2 miles away. I always see 150 mpg on the FCD when I have to finally start up the little beauty at that stop sign when I take this particular route. Unfortunately, this route is not the way to work :(

___IIRC, 120 mpg was the max for the HCH’s but it will be pretty easy for you all to find out. If you don’t have a sloped drive, just hit a long downhill slope anywhere at speed. Turn your ICE off, reboot (don’t start her up, just reboot the computers and displays), and reset your Trip A or B. At 50 + mph, you should see the maximum displayed in a second or two.

___Good Luck

It is definitely 120 mpg. I've done it a number of times after I've filled up. The actual mpg may be higher, but the display will only go to 120. When it happens, it's actually kind of funny--you can hit the gas hard, knowing that you're lowering the mpgs, and it will take about 30 seconds before it'll actually start coming down, showing that it was actually way above 120. Of course, this has to be just after you've filled up, on a downhill slope....
