DIY cd changer installation?
 

Hi,

I'd like to move an Alpine S634 MP3 cd changer into my new HCH II.

-Does anyone know how to access the back of the head unit and/or how to remove it completely?


-Does anyone happen to know if the cd changer interface is the same as on previous hondas? (I think it might have been M-BUS.)

I was looking around and saw that since I last looked at this, Alpine M-Bus to Civic 2006/2007 adapters have come out.

Has anybody easily accessed the back of the factory stereo to do any work without taking out most of the dash?

I think you can find some install docs by going to Crutchfield or other sites- I remember looking at what it took to install something and their docs gave a good instructions on removing the dash panels properly.

The dash needs to come out.
