2005 Honda Civic Won't Start
I own a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid and within the last few months I have been having trouble starting it from time to time. A simple jump will fix the problem for about a week or two, then I'll get in the car to start it and it won't start again. The electronic starter will crank but engine won't start.
Symptoms: -the car won't start. -electronics in the car work -IMA battery gauge shows plenty of battery power -when I tap on brake Gas gauge shows no gas (but there is plenty of gas in the tank) -odometer resets to overall engine mileage from "miles in trip" setting -car battery shows battery is still good Is this an electronics problem? Is this an alternator problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and a lifetime of GOOD KARMA will head your way!!!! Thanks Hyrbid Family, TG |
Re: 2005 Honda Civic Won't Start
My answer probably won't be good enough to deserve good karma, but I just wanted to let you know that your car doesn't have an alternator.
My first course of action would be to try installing a new 12V battery. |
